We are excited to announce the introduction of sustainable materials across our product portfolio, meeting growing demand for eco-conscious kitchenware.
This launch marks a core milestone in KaiQi’s 10-year sustainability roadmap, which aims to cut the brand’s overall product carbon footprint by 50% and achieve 100% recyclable or compostable packaging across all operations by 2030. After two years of dedicated research and product testing, our new material line delivers durable, food-safe sustainable alternatives that do not require an unaffordable premium, making eco-friendly kitchenware accessible to everyday households instead of just niche eco-conscious consumers. The new materials include bamboo fiber biocomposites sourced from responsibly managed forests, food-grade recycled 316 stainless steel made from post-industrial metal waste, and rice-hull based biodegradable bioplastics that avoid the agricultural land-use conflicts common to corn-based bioplastics. All materials are third-party tested to meet FDA and EU food safety standards, and perform just as well as traditional options: they are scratch-resistant, dishwasher-safe, and withstand temperatures up to 210°C, suitable for all daily cooking and storage needs. KaiQi’s first full collection of eco-friendly kitchenware will launch globally across online retail platforms and partner brick-and-mortar stores in the fourth quarter of 2024, starting with 16 popular SKUs ranging from cutting boards and cooking utensils to airtight food storage containers. Each product will feature a clear, easy-to-read carbon footprint label, giving consumers full transparency into the environmental impact of their purchase as they build more sustainable homes.
